VOB Virtual Optical Bench program series is a family of state of the art programs for analysis, design and optimization of conventional and micro-optical systems.
Several types of standard optical surfaces as well as lens arrays, holographical and diffractive optical elements may be used. Images from test objects and bitmapped images are synthesized, with simulation of electro-optics, like mechanical scanners, photodiodes, CCD arrays. Multimedia extensions, like beam and element animation are valuable for experimenting, teaching and tolerancing studies.
