LASER COMPONENTS Expanded Production Facility

LASER COMPONENTS set up an in-house production facility for fiber optic single-mode cables. The cables are equipped with FC/PC or FC/APC connectors and can be produced from the standard telecom wavelength at 1550 nm to a wavelength of 450 nm. Other connector types are available upon request.

Also manufactured are IEC-specified patch cords and pigtails as well as connector assemblies on provided materials – both with conventional single-mode (SM) and polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers. The R&D team even takes over the complete development of customized fiber-optic modules.

LASER COMPONENTS offers the highest precision demanded especially in patch cords for short wavelengths that have low core and mode-field diameters in the range from 3-4 μm. Through particularly good adjustment methods, extensive measuring equipment, and more than 15 years of experience in the assembly of optical fibers, it is also possible to process and use special fibers. The patch cords are ideally suited for applications in sensor technology or spectroscopy, in measurement modules, pump lasers, and data transmission.
