Effective And Flexible: The REA JET Fiber Laser

REA Elektronik announces the release of their REA JET FL Fiber Laser; ideal for permanent marking of metal and plastics and satisfying the rising demand for Direct Park Marking (DPM) of metal components.

Walton Hills, OH (PRWEB) - REA Elektronik has developed the REA JET FL Fiber Laser that allows for permanent marking of metal and plastics. Laser product marking has many advantages: it is consumable-free and low-maintenance, therefore hardly requiring follow-up costs. At the same time, the extremely long operational life span of the Fiber Laser system ensures high investment security. The high resolution print provides machine-readable codes and therefore the traceability of products.

Typical applications include embossing and color change marking (annealing) of metals, the color change of plastics containing laser additives, the layer removal in day-to-night design, marking by using laser transfer foils, as well as the marking of multi-layer films such as hose bag packaging.

The Fiber Laser is also capable of satisfying the rising demand for Direct Part Marking (DPM) of metal components which is becoming more and more important. The high beam quality and energy density guarantee short marking times and excellent readability of even the smallest characters. Texts and graphics may be freely designed and the use of TrueType fonts and UTF-8 coding allows the display of international characters.

The fiber laser is operated by an intuitive user interface with graphic display. The integrated web server enables the control and maintenance of the coding and marking systems from a PC via any web browser. There is no additional software installation required. The remote maintenance tool for diagnostics and support is included in the scope of delivery.

The REA JET FL comes with an operational life span of approximately 100,000 hours of operation. In contrast to Nd:YAG-lasers there is no replacement of the lamps or diodes necessary. The FL can also be subsequently integrated into existing production lines, the compact design and the small print head enables the easy integration. The system also meets the requirements of laser protection class 1 for installation into machines. For coated metals and the removal of paints REA offers the REA JET CL laser in the portfolio. It has the same operating concept and identical interfaces as the FL.

The system belongs to the group of solid-state lasers: The generation of the laser beam is in a diode-controlled optical fiber: Pivoted, digital deflecting mirrors lead the focused light beam over the product surface and generate the marking on moving or non-moving products. The flexible applicable laser is available in the versions 10, 20, 30 and 50 watt. Due to the different power levels, different speeds can be reached. The user can switch between two different operating modes. In the pulsed operating mode among other metals are engraved and plastics marked high-contrast. The continuous mode is often used for the color removal and the thermal annealing of metals. Because there are no solvents needed, the system meets pharmaceutical, food and cleanroom requirements.

REA Elektronik specializes in the development and manufacturing of high-quality marking and coding systems for contact-free, industrial marking. All systems are produced in Germany. As a full-line and full-range supplier of coding and marking technology, the company can provide hardware, software and consumables and design and develop customized systems. REA offers training in accordance with the statutory provisions for the training of Laser Protection Supervisor as well as tailored company-owned equipment trainings.

Unique in the world is the cross-device control concept for REA JET laser and inkjet systems with uniform interfaces. The operator controlled with one instruction, several coding and marking technologies. This saves time and money.
