DiCon Fiberoptics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fiberoptic components, modules, and test instruments, introduces a three-function hybrid Tap/Isolator/Pump Coupler for use in fiber amplifiers. This hybrid product combines a broadband thin film optical tap with an in-line isolator and a thin film pump combiner in a single component package to reduce the insertion loss, PDL, package size, and assembly costs of forward-pumped fiber gain modules. Available options include either Single Stage or Dual Stage Isolators, for either 980 or 1480 pump coupling, with tap ratios between 2% and 10%.
