The PowerMux family of next-generation dense wavelength division multiplexers are photonic processors that enable optical networks to meet escalating bandwidth demands. Ideal for tasks requiring high channel counts, it allows customers to scale up to as many channels as needed. The PowerMux is capable of processing any number of optical signals at any channel spacing, at any bit rate. Its small footprint and scalability allow it to fit easily into existing systems where it can be expanded to meet bandwidth demands. The PowerMux allows multiplexing and demultiplexing of optical signals at the origin and destination of a transmission path. Avanex's photonic processor technology allows the PowerMux to increase fiber utilization significantly compared with other multiplexing technologies.
