The PowerFilter product family is designed to improve overall performance and reduce the costs of thin-film dielectric filter-based WDM multiplexers. The PowerFilter's unique integrated device configuration enables ultra-low insertion loss, or loss of signal, which is characteristic of conventional multiplexers and demultiplexers. Wide channel spacing relieves the tight tolerances on the interference filter, improves manufacturing efficiency and reduces device costs. Isolating up to four wavelengths per unit, PowerFilter Band Separators can also significantly reduce the number of devices required within a system. With its proven metal-bonding technology, the PowerFilter has excellent stability and reliability.
