The Digital Lightwave Network Access Agent (NAA) product family consists of network systems that provide centralized performance monitoring and analysis of broadband networks as well as remote multichannel Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) diagnostics. NAAs are used by communications service providers to more easily and cost-effectively monitor, test and resolve network issues for optical-based networks.

Based on core NAA technology, Digital Lightwave has developed an integrated monitoring and analysis system for Lucent Technologies' WaveStar DWDM transmission system, under an original equipment manufacture agreement. The Lucent-branded WaveAgent provides 80-channel DWDM diagnostics for rapid identification of network outages and for optimizing performance.

The Network Access Agent I system is an unattended, software-controlled network test and monitoring system that integrates individual protocol processors for DS1, DS3, SONET (STS-1 through OC-48) and ATM into one rack-mounted system.

The Network Access Agent IV system is an intelligent network diagnostic system that provides comprehensive centralized Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) monitoring and analysis capabilities.

The DCA 425 is an intuitive portable testing platform for multichannel DWDM diagnostics.
