Multiplexer/Regenerator
The compact 40 Gb/s multiplexer & regenerator allows customers 2.5 or 10Gb/s services over 40 Gb/s line rate. Multiplexing is based on the standard ODU (Optical Channel Data Unit) concept. This allows fully transparent service from customer to customer, including performance monitoring. To achieve the longest distances, forward error correction and leading-edge electrical and optical components are included.
The product enables a free combination of 2.5, 10 & 40 Gb/s services in the same shelf. Terminal output can be transmitted over any DWDM links. It will enable more than 10 Tb/s transmission over a single fiber, which will help customers reduce operating costs.
