Sun Conversion has simplified Fiber-to-the-Desk solutions with the Model 110C Unplugged 10BASE-T to 10BASE-FL media converter. Powered by the PC, the new unplugged converter eliminates the need for a separate power supply. A "Y" cable is inserted in-line between the keyboard and the PC's keyboard port to draw power from the PC. Status LEDs indicate the presence of link and data reception on both the copper and fiber interfaces. The model 110C unplugged converter is available with ST or MT-RJ optical interfaces.
