The Model 1101C standalone, 100 Mbps media converter significantly helps lower the cost of Fiber-to-the-Desk in Fast Ethernet applications. Used with a 100BASE-SX network interface card link at the PC, and SCT 100BASE-SX converter cards in the wiring closet, the Model 1101C media converter provides the lowest cost solution for 100Mbps fiber in the horizontal, approaching the cost of a Category 5e UTP solution.
