LDX-3200 Series Precision Current Sources deliver a high performance solution for driving laser diodes. The first member of this highly stable, dual-range current source family provides 200 mA/500 mA of output current.
Each current source offers a low noise, highly stable output current operating in one of three modes: 1) constant current, CW, 2) constant current, high bandwidth or 3) constant light. Mode 1 is optimized for DC operation, supports external modulation and offers improved laser protection and noise performance. In Mode 2 the output stage supports higher frequency, external modulation with control circuitry optimized for high bandwidth operation of up to 1 MHz. Mode 3 supports constant optical power operation, using photodiode input current as the control setpoint.
