LDM-4980 Series Mounts provide a compact, easy-to-use solution for laser diode fixturing. These mounts are available in DIL, Butterfly, and connectorized laser diode package versions. Each mount features configurable pin designations to accommodate virtually any laser diode pin configuration. The Butterfly and DIL mounts can be used with a convenient Bias-T option to modulate laser diodes at frequencies up to 800 MHz. A case temperature control option is also available for additional cooling capacity.

The LDM-4980 Series includes the newest family member, Model LDM-4984RF Butterfly Telecom Laser Diode Mount. This high-frequency mount provides modulation capability of >2.5 GHz for selected pin configurations of butterfly-packaged laser diodes. This capability is supplied by way of a 50 , impedance-matched, SMA connector. The LDM-4984RF permits easy insertion and removal of laser packages via a convenient clamping mechanism. In addition, the unit features standard laser diode connectors for current and temperature control.

LDM-4980 Series Mounts are ideally suited for demanding applications such as laser testing and characterization, and they are optimized for use with ILX Lightwave instrumentation.
