Details

The Auiga Fibre Optic Experiment Kit is a unique self-contained interactive learning tool designed to give any user an understanding of the fundamentals of digital and analogue communications, sensing fibre transmission and general fibre applications, through a series of practical experiments. This approach allows the student to actualy generate the different scenarios and hence gain a greater understanding of the principles involved, rather than simply studying this complex science from a text book.

Features/Benefits:

  • Interactive operation
  • Learn by experimentation rather than textbooks
  • Complete Kit
  • All components and manuals included
  • Ideal introduction to fibre
  • Self teaching

    Applications:

The Auriga Fibre Optic Experimental Kit includes a detailed experiment manual and glossary of fibre optic terms along with all of the components necessary to carry out 23 experiments. The experiments include light travelling around corners in an optical fibre, coloured light travelling down an optical fibre, divergence of light from fibre, photodiode detecting light, LED output as a funcion of current, light which acitivates at night, LED shining light into fibre, adjusting coupling efficiencey of the LED, transmission through a gap between fibres, fibre optic transmission sensor, fibre optic reflection sensor, position sensing, measuring loss in the fibre, measuring connector loss, how connector loss is affected by fibre end quality, fibre bending loss, digital communications threshold level, effect of loss on digital communiations, optical fibre voice link, voice link frequency response, measuring light intensity, transmission of light between two fibres.
