December 12, 2000
Las Vegas: May 9, 2000. E2O Communications, Inc. announced today that it has reduced pricing to as low as $44.95 for its 1Gbps family of 850nm VCSEL optical transceivers. The family includes 1 x 9, GBIC, and Small Form Factor MTRJ transceivers for the Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel markets.
"This represents a dramatic breakthrough in providing our customers with more cost effective solutions to make their products more competitive," said Bob King, Vice President Sales of E2O Communications. "By reducing our volume pricing to $44.95 for our 1 x 9 and Small Form Factor MTRJ product, and $49.95 for our GBIC product, we are now able to deliver these at a lower price than any of our major competitors."
"Having the largest offshore manufacturing capacity for these types of products allows us to pass our savings on to our customers," continued Mr. King.
All products in the E2O 1Gbps family of transceivers are built with fully metallic enclosures for low EMI and provide excellent rise and fall times along with superior jitter performance.
Headquartered in Calabasas, California, E2O Communications, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of optical transceivers for the Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel markets.
