Corning Cable Systems announces new business group.

Corning Cable Systems' Optical Manufacturing Services (OMS) group was created to provide OEM customers with a full range of optically-focused contract manufacturing services – from supply chain management to product manufacture through final product testing. Corning Cable Systems' optical infrastructure product manufacturing experience, vertical integration and quality result in customer confidence in outsourcing products and processes to the OMS group.
The group will manage every aspect of the manufacturing process, including product fabrication, testing and packaging, and will also offer packaging and testing design services as required by the customer. Contract manufacturing and engineering resources in multiple design and manufacturing locations allow for mass prototyping as well as large-scale production. Corning Cable Systems' recent entry into global markets allows greater manufacturing flexibility, with locations in Europe, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean.
