This 19" Rack-Mountable device provides an
optimized Media Conversion solution for some
of the most abundant configurations of switching
hubs: 12 ports of 10Base-T and 1 or 2 ports of
100Base-TX (and their multiplies ). It combines
S.CON 10/100BaseTX-FX conversion channels
and CTF 10BaseT/FL conversion channels.
The S.CON channels implement the innovative
BMD (Buffered Media Domain) technology to
provide an unconditioned network extension
over m/m fiber of 2000 m (6600 ft), in any
network architecture (even when such includes
repeaters). It's copper ports are auto-sensing to
provide easy migration from 10 Mbps to
100 Mbps transmission rates.
Redundant power-supply, directly removable (hot-swap) power-supply, extensive front-panel diagnostics and more, ensure increased reliability as well as easy installation and maintenance. It is factory pre-configured and several devices can be mixed and stacked to achieve the exact number of channels required while occupying minimal rack-space.
