Corning Cable Systems' OSP Broadband Test Laboratory has the capability to provide end-to-end testing from the Central Office to the subscriber's premises to methodically verify performance of multiple Corning Cable Systems OSP Broadband Product. Corning Cable Systems' OSP Broadband Test Laboratory was developed to address customer questions and concerns with high-speed network components.

Data from Corning Cable Systems' OSP Broadband Test Laboratory may allow some telecommunications companies to bypass technology trials. Utilizing a diverse, flexible cable library and equipment test bed, Corning Cable Systems OSP Broadband Test Laboratory allows for realistic modeling of most customers' outside plant loop networks, full analog and digital performance characterization performed using test equipment, and customer-specific transmission equipment. Test loops can be reconfigured in a matter of minutes for different configurations, cable lengths and types, and system components. To ensure maximum knowledge of individual component performance, a complete set of common outside plant impairments can be placed on the active loop, including environmental variations of selected products or loop sections. Copper component characterization and verification is a strength of Corning Cable Systems' OSP Broadband Test Laboratory. Test equipment, personnel, and procedures are ISO-compliant and listed through Underwriters Laboratories Client Test Data Program for Category 5 testing. Corning Cable Systems is able to completely characterize the transmission aspects of primary OSP copper broadband network components.
