Details

The Bandsplitter Filter WDM is designed to multiplex and demultiplex signals in multi-wavelength systems. The component uses a multi-cavity thin-film filter element mounted between a pair of GRIN lens collimators. It is housed in a compact, environmentally stable package that offers superior resistance to humidity and temperature and is suitable for mounting on a printed circuit board or within a module. The company stocks filters with a wide variety of passbands to provide WDMs for either standard channel spacings based on the ITU grid or custom channel definitions. The component is used in multi-wavelength transmission systems with channel spacing of 1.6 to 60 nm. Typical applications are in dual-band fiber amplification and optical add/drop multiplexing.

Features
• Custom channel passbands from 0.8 to 35 nm
• Ultra-low insertion loss
• Rugged, environmentally stable package
• Tested to Bellcore GR-1209, Issue 1
