50 GHz Thin Filter uses a five cavity thin film coated filter chip to achieve 0.1 nm min. passbands with 25 dB typical adjacent channel isolation. 50 GHz filters based on thin film technology are significantly less expensive than filters built with a combination of fiber bragg grating and circulator. This two port device can be used as a channel selection filter in front of transmission system receivers for wavelength channel plans operating on a 50 GHz grid.
