1550nm ITU-Grid Return Path Transmitters
These optical transmitters operate at pre-selected wavelengths to permit Dense-Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) of up to eight wavelengths, thus enabling multiple return path data streams on a single fiber. The transmitters are packaged in extremely compact modules, permitting a complete 8-wavelength (8-l) array and redundant power supplies in one 3RU Universal Chassis.
The transmitters are plug-and-play devices with a transmission bandwidth of 5 - 200MHz and excellent noise-power ratio over a broad dynamic range. A built-in microprocessor provides ease of use, viewing of operational parameters, control of RF attenuation, and external control, monitoring and alarm reporting via an SNMP-compliant network management software system.
