Return Path Laser Modules from C-COR.net are available for a wide variety of outdoor optical nodes for 1310nm network architectures. Because 1310nm Return Path Laser Modules installed in optical nodes serve as the first fiber optic element in the reverse path of HFC networks, their contribution to interference will dominate reverse path performance. Accordingly, these modules are designed to meet rigorous performance specifications under all operating
conditions.

These units have been designed so that modules can be replaced, if needed, with any module or unit of the same type and the same optical and electrical specifications from the same or different vendor. Thus replacement of a Return Path Module will not require replacement of the optical receiver or vice-versa.1310nm Return Path Laser Modules support monitoring and controlling functions of the optical node in which they are installed if the node supports such functions.
