August 13, 2010
Denver, CO - Integra Telecom Inc., a telecommunications provider for businesses and carriers, has invested $2.1million in extending its metro fiber network by 121 route miles in Denver. Through this network investment, Integra Telecom has expanded its Colorado product offerings to include more robust broadband services.
"We see tremendous growth opportunity in Denver and are pleased to augment our service offerings for area businesses," said Dudley Slater, CEO of Integra Telecom Inc. "This significant capital investment emphasizes our commitment to Denver and is a response to the demand we are witnessing from regional businesses and carriers for high speed, broadband services delivered with the high grade of quality service and reliability we offer."
Integra's Denver expansion includes a state-of-the-art fiber network that supports broadband Ethernet services for businesses of all sizes. The network also allows Integra to extend its service offerings to enterprise level businesses with sophisticated network requirements that can only be delivered by carriers operating local fiber-based networks.
"By introducing Integra's metro fiber network to Denver, businesses now have the opportunity to enjoy Integra's industry-leading, local customer service model paired with a robust set of broadband product and service offerings," said Ken Worcester, senior vice president of Integra Telecom of Colorado. "No other carrier in the area is equipped to deliver the localized service, technical support and products that Integra is bringing to Denver."
The company's Denver investment is part of its asset intensive, fiber-based market strategy. Since 2006, when Integra acquired the network assets and customers of Electric Lightwave, the company has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in network expansions and upgrades throughout its service area.
